AS A "CORONA" CONSEQUENCE OR SEQUEL

In joint projects, Žigan Krajnčan (1995) & Gašper Kunšek (1997) explore different spaces (realities) and ways of living in them, through which they instinctively them to the goal of the ultimate experience of oneness. They develop their dance expression in a fusion of classical and urban dance techniques, such as popping, hip hop, ballet, release and cunnigh, krump, house, contact improvisation ... They are seekers of freedom that perceives dance and movement as a result of emotion, energy and feeling.

With their own productions Alien Express and Chorus they are still (winningly) impressing audiences across the South America, China, and Europe.

ALIEN EXPRESS

Alien Express brought Žigan and Gašper the Ksenija Hribar award for the most promising dancer and guest appearance within the Aerowaves network. After EXODOS Ljubljana took over the entire (post)production the worldwide tour has began and it is still ongoing.

Finding an Alien in us/you. Perception of reality as it is. An astral train on its way from duality to oneness. Through archetypes, it shows, intimately and at the same time universally, our own story, all the way to the point where rational understanding is no longer necessary.

SECOND FLIGHT

What happens if the unknown force, which at the same time is the engine of our existence, embodies us and does not want to let us down? Do you give it up or control it? Between the order and the chaos, outside and inside, my and your movements exists with the apocalypse inspired state that questions the edges of our own possibilities and limitations.

Second Flight offers exactly that; clashing forces not only at the level of two bodies and their mutual relations, but also at the level of the theater signs; space, light, sound, and intermediate states between performers and viewers. The key to the diverse, partly spectacular creation is the structured improvisation and sparkling spontaneity of both actors who think each performance as – a new one.

ALIEN EXPRESS:
NON-CANCELLED FLIGHT

Can you prevent infection with a disinfectant? Can you forbid touching in the performing arts? And if you forbid touching – is (urban) dance still dance?

The Non-Cancelled Flight was enthusiastically accepted by the Internet audiences, and so the artists decided to transfer it from the virtual sphere onto the stage, as a live event, while retaining the interactive tools, as well as questioning the (in)sanity and (ir)rationality of measures to restrain the epidemic. The viewers are offered two perspectives: a complete overview of developments on the stage, and minimalist details of dance movements. All elements function as a whole, simultaneously – the movement and the camera, the stage event and the video detail.

The Non-Cancelled Flight needs no final destination – rather, “merely” freedom to act and breathe.
