LACE IN NEAPLES

TWO PERFORMANCES, WORKSHOP, AND A MEETING ON INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

The production of EXODOS Ljubljana, in collaboration with hosts Valeria Apicella and the venue Punto Zero, presented two interconnected performances of the multi-year interdisciplinary project Lace – First Weaving: The Arch and Second Weaving: In Search of Silence.

Sunday, 23 November at 6:00 PM | Punto Zero, Naples (Italy)
The guest performance marked the first organised presentation of the project in Naples by the EXODOS production team.

ABOUT THE LACE PROJECT

Lace is a multi-year international interdisciplinary project named after decorative perforated fabric made of thread, which, as a symbol of connection and sensitivity, intertwines technique with historical heritage. At this crossroads, contemporary dance and music meet, grounded in co-authorship, exchange and creative precision.

The performance weaves autonomous yet interconnected patterns, where body and sound create a living texture of emotion, rhythm, and space. The creative process resembles embroidery: slow, precise and respectful of every detail. The final form is not predetermined but emerges before the eyes of the audience.

The project unfolds in two parts:

  • Lace – First Weaving: The Arch explores tension between polarities and the relationships of the strings.

  • Lace – Second Weaving: In Search of Silence opens a space for bass vibrations and explores silence as a state of inner peace within movement.

MOVEMENT AND MUSIC WORKSHOP

Friday, 21 November – Music Workshop
